Ambedkar Institute Of Advanced Communication Technologies & Research
Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies & Research (AIACTR) is an engineering institute established in 2001 by the Government of NCT of Delhi to provide quality technical education in engineering, especially in communications and computing technologies. Its campus is located in Geeta Colony, East Delhi on about 7.8 – 8.5 acres of land with a modern campus setup.
In 2020, the institute was merged into Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) and is now officially the NSUT East Campus.
It primarily focuses on engineering programmes like Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, continuing the academic legacy of its original departments.
The campus was built in a short record time (about 18 months) and has a lush green ambience with modern academic facilities.
It was designed to provide a state-of-the-art infrastructure to students pursuing technical education.
Programs include UG (B.Tech), PG (M.Tech) and research opportunities in relevant engineering fields.
The institute encourages sports participation, cultural activities, and extracurricular engagement through clubs and events.
Students also have avenues to attend seminars, workshops and interactive sessions with industry experts (as part of departmental activities).
Placement & Career Support
There is a Training & Placement Office which works toward helping students connect with companies for internships and job placements.
Companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant and others have historically visited for placements (pre-NSUT merger)
