Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute Of Information Technology
Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Information Technology (BCIIT) was established in 1999 with the primary aim of offering professional programs in computer applications. It operates under the Sri Banarsidas Chandiwala Sewa Smarak Trust Society, a charitable society involved in education and community service since 1952. The institute is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi, and its degree programs are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
BCIIT focuses on providing industry‑oriented education and practical skills to prepare students for careers in information technology, software development, and related fields. It emphasizes a balance of classroom teaching, practical projects, seminars, workshops, and soft‑skill development.
The institute offers the following programmes:
A 3‑year undergraduate programme designed to build strong fundamentals in IT, programming, databases, and software development.
The syllabus includes practicals, communication skills, cyber ethics, and summer training projects to make students job‑ready.
Students work on minor and major projects in later semesters to enhance technical expertise.
A 2‑year postgraduate programme that focuses on advanced computing, software engineering, project work, and industry exposure.
Includes team projects and industry internships in the final semester.
Curriculum integrates technical depth with soft skill and personality development modules.
Both programs follow the curriculum and academic norms of GGSIPU with continuous evaluation through assignments, tests, seminars, and project work.
BCIIT has a Training & Placement Cell that actively assists students with internships, industry visits, and job placements. Activities include:
Seminars and workshops with industry experts.
Personality development sessions and mock interviews.
Liaison with companies to create internship and placement opportunities.
Placements vary by batch and programme — some students receive opportunities in software development, QA, IT analysis, etc., while overall campus placement statistics can fluctuate year to year. Recruiters have included companies in technology and services sectors.
