Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT), established in 1979, is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by AICTE. The institute has consistently ranked among the top engineering colleges, securing 194th out of 762 in B.Tech by Collegedunia 2025, 27th out of 245 in 2024, and 4th in Bangalore by THE WEEK.

BIT Bangalore’s flagship program is the B.E., offered with specializations in CSE, Data Science, AI & ML, IoT & Cybersecurity (including Blockchain), Information Science & Engineering, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, ECE, E&TC, EEE, VLSI, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. In addition, the institute offers M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and Ph.D. programs.

• B.E. Admissions: Based on KCET, COMEDK, or JEE Main scores, followed by counseling.

• M.Tech Admissions: Through GATE or Karnataka PGCET, followed by counseling.

The Placement Report 2025 is yet to be released. In the 2024 placement drive, the highest package reached INR 58 LPA, while the average package was INR 10 LPA. A total of 528 students were placed.
