Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT), Bangalore, formerly known as MSRIT, was established in 1962 and is one of the leading private engineering colleges in India. The institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and accredited by AICTE, NBA, and NAAC with an A+ grade. In rankings, MSRIT secured 25th by India Today, 9th by The Week, 6th by Outlook, and 75th in NIRF (B.Tech) 2024.
RIT Bangalore offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, including BE, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Arch, and PhD. For UG admissions, candidates must qualify through KCET or COMEDK, while PG admissions are based on scores from GATE, PGCET, KMAT, MAT, or CMAT. In 2024, popular BE specializations such as CSE, AI & ML, ECE, and Cyber Security had KCET closing ranks between 1254 – 32115 and COMEDK ranks between 761 – 19386.
The first-year fees for the BE program are approximately INR 3.14 lakhs, while the B.Arch program costs around INR 3.15 lakhs. At the postgraduate level, the MBA program is offered at INR 88,560, the M.Tech program at INR 1.50 lakhs, and the MCA program at around INR 1.27 lakhs.
In terms of placements 2025, RIT has attracted 180 recruiters so far, generating 1170+ job offers. The highest package offered was INR 58 LPA, while top offers in recent years have ranged from INR 29 LPA to INR 50 LPA, highlighting the institute’s strong placement record.
