St. John’s Medical College, established in 1963 by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India, is one of the leading medical colleges in Bangalore. It is a self-financing private institution affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, super-specialty, and doctoral programs in Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences. As per the NIRF Ranking 2024, St. John’s Medical College is ranked 28th among the top medical institutes in India.

The institute offers a wide range of courses, including MBBS, MD/MS, and DM/M.Ch in Medicine; GNM, B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, and M.Sc Nursing in Nursing; and several Allied Health Science programs such as B.Sc, BPT, MPT, MHA, and M.Sc. Admissions to all programs are entrance-based, with NEET UG, NEET PG, and NEET SS required for MBBS, MD/MS, and DM/M.Ch courses respectively.
