Approvals and infrastructure 

JSS Medical College and Hospital is: 

• Karnataka government approval
• MCI recognition
• The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences is affiliated with NAAC-grade A+ accreditation.
• UGC approval. 

Admission Criteria: 

The requirements for admission to JSS Medical College and Hospital's MBBS Program are as follows: 

• Passed the 12th grade (or equivalent) with 50% aggregate grades in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English at a recognized university. 

• Candidates who have passed the B.Sc. examinations from a recognized board or university are also eligible for admission. 

• The candidate's age should be 17 years as of December 31st of the admission year. 

• Students must pass the NEET-UG test. 

The requirements for students seeking admission to JSS Medical College and Hospital for the MD/MS Program are as follows:

• Completed MBBS with a 50% aggregate from an MCI-accredited university. 

• A one-year mandatory internship at any medical institution or hospital accredited by the MCI. 

• Students must pass the NEET PG test. 

Because the institution is a declared university, admission is handled through Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) counseling. Students seeking 15% All India Quota, Management, or NRI Quota Seats may apply for MCC Counseling through the Medical Counseling Committee. To enroll in the MBBS, MD, or MS programs at their selected colleges, students must go through MCC processes and complete counseling procedures. 

MBBS:- 

A student must pass the NEET UG test and enroll in MCC once the applications are open. A student must complete all of the stages in the MCC counseling process in order to obtain seats based on their NEET UG ranking in the desired quota (if qualified). 

MCC Counseling Procedure: 1st Round Counseling, 2nd Round Counseling, Mop Up Round (1 or 2 depending on the vacant seats) This procedure involves: 

• Online registration
• Document verification
• Choice entry and locking
• Mock allotment
• Actual allotment
• Reporting 

Admission is available to all UG NEET-qualified applicants, with the exception of NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and foreign nationals. Documents are required for the verification process. The original papers to be produced are: 

• A final printout of the online registration form.
• The original copy of the challan for paying the fees.
• UG NEET Admission Ticket and Score Card • Valid Identity Card (Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN/Aadhar Card) • SSLC/10th Standard Marks Card • 2nd PUC/12th Standard Marks Card • 2nd PUC/12th Standard Study Certificate issued by concerned college with principal's seal and signature • Two recent passport-sized photographs.
• If the individual is applying for minority status, the necessary documentation should be provided. 

MD/MS:- 

A student must pass the NEET PG test and enroll in MCC once the applications are open. A student must complete all of the stages in the MCC counseling process in order to obtain seats based on their NEET PG ranking in the desired quota (if eligible).

Documents Required for the Document Verification Process: 

Admission is accessible to all PG NEET-qualified students, excluding NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and foreign nationals. The original papers to be produced are: 

• The final print of the KEA 'PGET-2023' Registration Form. 

• Photo identification and address proof document (PAN Card, Driver's License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card) 

• The NBE has published the NEET PG 2023 admit card and score card for medical and dental courses. 

• SSLC/10th Standard Marks Card/equivalent Marks Card (with date of birth). 

• Second PUC/12th Standard Marks Card. 

• MBBS/BDS Marks Cards are provided by universities for all semesters and years. 

• A qualifying degree certificate. 

• Provisional Degree Certificate: only for those who graduated MBBS or BDS in 2023. 

• Certificate of Internship Completion (Annexure 5) for candidates who have previously completed their internships. (Provisional internship completion certificates will be considered for candidates who complete their internship before March 31, 2023, solely for the first round of counseling; see Annexure 6.)

• A certificate from the institute's head stating that MCI/DCI recognizes the Medical/Dental College from which the candidate passed the MBBS/BDS examination.

• State/Central Medical/Dental Council Registration Certificate. Provisional registration certificates will only be approved for applicants who graduated MBBS or BDS in 2023. 

During the admissions process, a permanent registration certificate from the state/central medical/dental council must be provided. (Candidates who passed prior to 2023 must have the original Permanent Registration Certificate and upload it.).
