CMR University, Bangalore, established in 2013 under the CMR University Act, is a leading private university in Karnataka. Recognized by the UGC, approved by AICTE and COA, and accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC, the university is also a member of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUI). Located at Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore, its city campus spreads over 60 acres.

In 2025, Collegedunia ranked CMR University’s Law program 58th in India, while The Times of India placed its B.Tech program 69th out of 175 colleges nationwide.

CMR University consists of 9 schools of study, offering 60+ UG, PG, PhD, and diploma programs. Its flagship courses include B.Tech, MBA, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc (Hons), and BA LLB (Hons), along with popular programs in Design, Architecture, and Psychology. Admissions to B.Tech are based on KCET, COMEDK UGET, or JEE Main scores, followed by counseling. The COMEDK UGET 2025 cutoff for the General category ranged between 27404 and 34198. Management quota seats are also available.

As per the NIRF Report 2025, the median package was INR 3.82 LPA for UG and INR 4.60 LPA for MBA. In the 2023 placements, UG students secured a median of INR 5.87 LPA, while MBA graduates received INR 4 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys, Capgemini, HCL, KPMG India, and ICICI Bank.
