The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) is a public business school founded in 1961. It was the first B-School in India to receive international accreditation from EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) by EFMD.
IIM Ahmedabad has consistently been ranked as the No. 1 MBA college in India by Collegedunia, The Week, NIRF, IIRF, and Outlook in 2025. Globally, it was ranked 31st by Financial Times 2025 and 61st by QS Rankings 2025.
The institute’s main program is the MBA (PGP). The total fee for the MBA program in 2025 is INR 26.5 lakhs. As per the IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2025 report, the institute achieved a 100% placement rate for the MBA (PGP) batch. The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) made the highest number of offers (35), followed by Accenture Strategy (30). In the investment banking sector, Goldman Sachs was the top recruiter with 9 offers, followed by Avendus Capital (7 offers). The Consumer Tech sector grew by 800%, while the Cards & Financial Advisory sector grew by 300% and Advisory Consulting by 120%.
The Cluster 3 placements for the PGP class of 2025 also concluded successfully. This cluster had 8 cohorts, including Analytics & IT Consulting, BFSI, Renewable Energy & Greentech, Core Manufacturing & Infrastructure, Enterprise Tech, Government Enterprises, FinTech, and Logistics. NewGen Software Tech and Fin IQ Consulting made the highest offers (5 each), while OYO followed with 4 offers.
