With CUET UG 2026 exams into their fourth day, students and education experts have keenly been watching the trend in question paper pattern, the level of difficulty for individual subjects, and cutoff marks. Early impressions from candidates reveal that most of the papers held so far have maintained the NCERT pattern, with many candidates referring to the overall level of the exam as "Moderate but Lengthy."

CUET UG 2026 Starts Across India

As per the latest updates available from NTA and education websites monitoring the examination, students have been asked to reach their centers by 7 AM in order to facilitate easy verification procedures. NTA has strictly followed its exam-day instructions, which include guidelines regarding dress code and prohibition of any electronic devices within the centers.

It is believed that this could assist future aspirants in understanding the repetitive topics.

Memory-Based Questions to Play Important Role

Memory-based questions will continue dominating the post-CUET UG 2026 discussion just like in the past years, where students who leave the examination centers after completing their exams share questions with their respective coaching institutes that compile unofficial answers and topic analysis.

From the observation made from May 11, 12, and 13 examinations, some topics have recurred:

  • Economics examinations contained money and banking, national income, and market equilibrium questions.
  • The English segment emphasized reading comprehension and vocabulary knowledge.
  • General test segments covered current affairs, logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and static GK.
  • Humanities exams had majorly NCERT-based factual questions.
  • Students who are to appear in later shifts are analyzing past questions to establish patterns.

DU Admissions and CUET UG 2026

In between all these procedures , the students are equally excited about receiving information from the central universities on their admission dates. As per the sources, the Delhi University ight have already opened its CSAS portal by June, well before the declaration of CUET results.

As the CUET score has become mandatory for taking admission in most of the central universities, fierce competition can be anticipated in popular programs like Economics, Political Science, English, B. Com and Psychology.

Normalization and percentiles are expected to play an important part in preparing the merit list because of different shifts and levels of difficulty of the test.

What Happens Next?

Following the completion of all stages of exams, it is anticipated that NTA will make the provisional answer key available for CUET UG 2026. Candidates would be permitted to dispute answers prior to the publication of the final answer key and scorecards.
