On July 18, the Supreme Court heard several pleas regarding the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak case. A bench composed of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra oversaw the proceedings. According to the Solicitor General, 131 students are requesting a retest, while 254 students oppose it. The Chief Justice has requested the NTA to provide details on the number of students who changed exam cities, those who ranked in the top 1.08 lakh, and any possible bias favoring students who registered on April 9 and 10, in response to allegations of mark inflation and paper leaks. The Supreme Court has instructed the NTA to release the marks of all NEET-UG 2024 students by Saturday, July 20. The next hearing is scheduled for Monday, July 22. The court also directed that the students' marks be published using 'dummy roll numbers in a sequence center-wise' to protect their identities.
